Google Analytics Tracking Module is an installable Joomla! module or plugin that adds support for Google Analytics Tracking Code into your Joomla! site.
It is based on the latest version of Google's tracking code, this module has also has full support for tracking of e-commerce transactions if your are using VirtueMart component.

Compatibility
This module/plugin is an self-installable file compatible with Joomla 1.5.x in native mode.
The e-commerce tracking was tested on VirtueMart 1.1.x.
This module/plugin is not compatible with Joomla 1.0.x.
There are no SSL (http vs. https) problems as this uses the latest tracking code from google (ga.js) that is compatible both with SSL / no-SSL version of the site.
Installation and Documentation
This code may be installed either as plugin or module. We however recommend using the plugin version.
Install this module/plugin using the default Joomla module installer.
For plugin version only:
After installation, using the Plugin Manager, make sure the plugin is enabled.
For module version only:
After installation, using the Module Manager, set the position of this module to "debug" (if this is defined in your template) or any other position that is always visible in your template.
The module self generates no visible user code, so you do not need to worry about possibility of broken page layout.
Remember to set the module to be published and to have no title.
Common:
Insert your Google Analytics tracking code to module configuration. If you want to track VirtueMart orders, switch the VirtueMart tracking parameter to Yes.
